Marco Galindez was raised in Orange County. He graduated from Orange High School where he was enrolled in the National Honor Society and was a recipient of Gray Davis Grant. He has an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies (SAC and SCC).
Marco has been an integral part of Andrews & Thornton for 20 years. He has been involved in every type of case handled by the firm, including catastrophic injuries from pharmaceuticals products, medical devices, and consumer products. He has worked on vaccine court claims, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals actions, and now bankruptcy claims involving The Boy Scouts of America as well as opioid manufacturers Insys, Purdue, and Mallinckrodt. As chief paralegal, Marco has primary responsibility for the filing and service of complaints in state courts, federal and bankruptcy courts, and helps manage paralegal staff.
Marco’s work for Andrews & Thornton is driven by an interest in how laws can be manipulated by corporations to promote and sell medical products and prescription medications without regard for the harms those products can inflict on innocent consumers. Marco has a passion for how the law ultimately can and does protect individuals through civil suits and creative advocacy by firms like Andrews & Thornton.
Marco enjoys working with personal injury clients and helping them make use of the laws available to protect them and their rights. So many clients involved in mass torts have nowhere else to turn for legal representation and Marco feels an obligation to assist them in holding defendants accountable for their wrongs. Whatever can be done to assist clients, Marco is always available to provide a kind ear and professional courtesy to people who have been hurt in one way or another.
Marco enjoys learning about technology, whether it’s on mobile devices, computers, websites and programming or SQL Databases. He values being able to implement technology in the handling of client matters and find ways that they can benefit and facilitate client input and communication on their case.
He also enjoys fishing, playing and watching football (Go Packers!), watching soccer, and exploring the world. Most importantly, he loves spending time with his wife and daughter and making them smile and laugh as much as possible.
