Karren Schaffer

Our clients suffer daily as a result of corporate actions; I am privileged to help them navigate the legal system to seek personal resolution and justice

For over a decade Karren’s legal practice has focused on medical products liability litigation related to drugs and devices.  These efforts are built on a foundation of knowledge acquired directly working in the medical products arena for a major drug and device manufacturer, as an officer and director of  device manufacturing companies,  as in-house counsel and years of service to the underserved in our community.  Since major drug and device litigations are most often are carried out in federal courts in Multi-district litigations (MDL) format, she had the privilege of serving on science, marketing, discovery and trial selection committees working collectively and successfully toward the resolution of a variety of drug and device MDL litigations.

Her focus on assisting others extends beyond the litigation scope to include serving on various Boards of Directors, including the local Federal Emergency Management Assistance (FEMA) board, Community Development Council and Inter-faith Council,   directing a broad-based social service agency serving thousands of individuals monthly, serving as founding dean for a paralegal studies program, teaching law as Karren-Schaeffer-Squarean adjunct professor and mentoring law students and young attorneys.
