The FDA has just released a statement that signals a turn in the tide against the makers of WEN.

On July 19, 2016, The FDA released a statement that it is “investigating hair loss, hair breakage, balding, itching, and rash associated with the use of WEN” products.

In addition to warning consumers of these possible reactions, the FDA statement urges consumers to report any reactions experienced while using these products.

The statement also explains that at least 127 adverse event reports have been filed with the FDA to date, noting that this is “the largest number of reports ever associated with any cosmetic hair cleansing product, including cleansing conditioners.

The FDA statement makes a strong connection between WEN and hair loss and gives additional credibility and weight to the over 21,000 consumer complaints and multiple lawsuits that have been filed against the makers of WEN.

We will monitor the FDA investigation closely as it proceeds, and keep readers apprised of any other updates.
